Overview - About SURVIVE Magazine

Dedicated to Conservation of the Environment and  Preservation of Heritage, Culture & Traditions.

L.B. Associates (Pvt) Ltd, in keeping with emerging global concerns on the 'State of the Planet and its Antiquities,' widened public consciousness with the launch of SURVIVE Magazine in April 2001.

At L.B. Associates we believe that if current trends persist: children of the not too distant future will only be able to view the Tiger, the Panda and other endangered species in picture books; our rich jungles, sandy beaches and precious mountains may become junkyards; our architectural treasures may be levelled to accommodate parking lots; our cities may sink into Mother Earth under the weight of humanity; and, our unique cultures and traditions may erode to uniformity due to pressures of globalisation.

These atrocities are avoidable and SURVIVE Magazine presents features on the present state of affairs and attempts to offer viable alternatives and remedies. It highlights the commendable work of governments, non-governmental organisations, corporations and private citizens in their attempts to reverse negative environmental and social trends. Destinations where eco-tourism is promoted are featured, along with aspects of art, culture and heritage of the Indian sub-continent. Eco-friendly products are often featured in advertisements and write-ups. We invite articles from guest writers and freelancers.

PROMOTING NOBLE CAUSES

Recent issues of SURVIVE were dedicated to the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in association with the National Rail Museum; the Mahabodhi Temple UNESCO World Heritage site in association with Indian Tourism Development Corporation, and the State of Nagaland amongst others. The next edition will be dedicated to Indian Heritage Hotels on behalf of the Indian Heritage Hotels Association. All editions are supported by advertising and therefore represent not financial burden to the associated organization.

DO YOU HAVE A NOBLE CAUSE?

Do you have a cause that falls into the focus area of SURVIVE Magazine? Would you like us to dedicate an entire issue to your cause? If so, please contact us and we'd be glad to consider the viability from a commercial and/or human-
itarian viewpoint.
